Falling Leaves Mixed use development

DRONE SURVEY, SITE DOCUMENTATION, CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

Mixed use development Kiserian, Kenya

Construction projects require the support of the stakeholders and community to be successful. To communicate new planned developments, it has become increasingly important for #AEC professionals to engage with stakeholders early and give them access to the complex information pertaining to planned buildings and other architectural projects.

Esri‘s 3D web scene and #Drone2Map represent a site with its buildings, streets, vegetation, and other urban objects can help stakeholders and the community at large experience the planned project the way they would in the real world. Instead of having to read through complex technical construction plans, they can navigate the scene intuitively in their web browser.

Located in Kiserian, the stepped 222-unit affordable housing complex is designed to achieve EDGE green building guidelines for environmental responsibility. Championing sustainable and affordable living strategies, a display in the main lobby shows energy statistics, such as the solar panel outputs in real time.

A 3,000-square-foot ground level courtyard that spirals upwards creates a promenade of social spaces and 5,400 square feet of green roofs that offer active gardening, reduce storm water run-off, and enhance building insulation.
